One of the most common questions we get from our customers is whether they can get a pre-production sample of their poly mailer order.
Unfortunately, the short answer is no, but we do have means of showing you what you can expect to receive.
Here’s what you need to know.
The Poly Mailer Production Process
When we order the raw material needed to make your mailer, it comes as a flat sheet in the form of a roll.
We custom-order a roll that aligns with the size of your mailer when it’s completely unfolded, connected only at the bottom edge. It also includes the top lip that will eventually flip over to seal the mailer.
From there, we print on the front and back of the mailer and it goes through a folding machine.
We Print Roll-to-Roll
The reason we can’t provide pre-production samples of your mailers is that we print roll-to-roll. This means we have to order the raw material to the exact specifications of the mailer, which makes it logistically infeasible to create a one-off physical copy for you to examine before placing your order.
How We Ensure You Get the Perfect Mailer
Understanding it can sometimes be challenging to imagine what your finished product will look like without being able to physically see it, we take a few steps to ensure you get the perfect mailer.
Our In-House Creative Team
We recently added an in-house creative department to Northern Specialty Supplies. And this team is able to make extremely detailed renderings so you know exactly what your mailer will look like upon completion.
We Keep a Full Stock of Samples
While we can’t give you a pre-production sample of your specific poly mailer, we can show you samples of virtually every imaginable mailer variation we’ve ever created in order to help you visualize yours more clearly.
